These Terms govern your use of the Kodomo no Zukan (こどもずかん) mobile app (“the App”) and this website, provided by Jorrel (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is intended for young children using it under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians accept these Terms on behalf of their children.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
In-app purchase
- Some pages are free. A one-time purchase unlocks all pages for the lifetime of the App. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Payments are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy.
- Your purchase is linked to your Apple ID or Google account and can be restored on other devices using the same account via Restore purchases.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We are unable to issue refunds directly.
- Purchases are protected by a parental gate. Parents are responsible for purchases made on their devices.
Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the App or its content, except as permitted by law.
Intellectual property
All illustrations, audio recordings, text, design and software in the App and on this website are owned by or licensed to Jorrel and are protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
Content accuracy
We work hard to make words, translations and pronunciations accurate and age-appropriate, but we cannot guarantee the App is error-free. If you spot a mistake, please let us know.
Updates and availability
We may update, change or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will try to ensure that content you have unlocked remains available in future versions, but we cannot guarantee the App will be available on every device or operating system version.
Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia / Victoria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date above, and continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new Terms.
